Two affixing options supplied—3M Dual Lock or mechanical fasteners.
Dual Lock
- Determine mounting location on board.
- Trace the border of the mount or tape off a frame.
- Clean this area and bottom of mount with acetone.
- Remove tape to expose adhesive.
- Press strips firmly into each indent on bottom of mount.
- Connect each opposing lock strip.
- Remove tape on mated strips to expose all adhesive.
- Using your drawn or taped border for reference, press the mount firmly onto your board.(“Garage door” facing forward on the Fairing Mount).
- (Low-Profile Mount) Install computer in mount, with case on, by pulling up on top line.
- (Low-Profile Mount) Make sure clamping mechanism has firmly grabbed both top and bottom of Atlas.
- (Fairing Mount) Open “garage door,” slide computer in (no case on).
- Attach safety tether to foot strap and Atlas leash.
Mechanical Fasteners
- Determine mounting location on board.
- Mark the three bolt holes for drilling.
- Drill M6 or M7 holes 10mm deep.
- Cover outside threads with glue.
- Screw in threaded inserts until flush with board; allow glue to cure.
- Optional— epoxy a layer of composite material over each inert.
- Optional—add a layer of caulk around each insert.
- Affix mount with M5 bolts.
- (Low-Profile Mount) Install computer in mount, with case on, by pulling up on top line.
- (Low-Profile Mount) Make sure clamping mechanism has firmly grabbed both top and bottom of Atlas.
- (Fairing Mount) Open “garage door,” slide computer in (no case on).
- Attach safety tether to foot strap and Atlas leash.
