Two affixing options supplied—3M Dual Lock or mechanical fasteners.

Dual Lock

  1. Determine mounting location on board.
  2. Trace the border of the mount or tape off a frame.
  3. Clean this area and bottom of mount with acetone.
  4. Remove tape to expose adhesive.
  5. Press strips firmly into each indent on bottom of mount.
  6. Connect each opposing lock strip.
  7. Remove tape on mated strips to expose all adhesive.
  8. Using your drawn or taped border for reference, press the mount firmly onto your board.(“Garage door” facing forward on the Fairing Mount).
  9. (Low-Profile Mount) Install computer in mount, with case on, by pulling up on top line.
  10. (Low-Profile Mount) Make sure clamping mechanism has firmly grabbed both top and bottom of Atlas.
  11. (Fairing Mount) Open “garage door,” slide computer in (no case on).
  12. Attach safety tether to foot strap and Atlas leash.

Mechanical Fasteners

  1. Determine mounting location on board.
  2. Mark the three bolt holes for drilling.
  3. Drill M6 or M7 holes 10mm deep.
  4. Cover outside threads with glue.
  5. Screw in threaded inserts until flush with board; allow glue to cure.
  6. Optional— epoxy a layer of composite material over each inert.
  7. Optional—add a layer of caulk around each insert.
  8. Affix mount with M5 bolts.
  9. (Low-Profile Mount) Install computer in mount, with case on, by pulling up on top line.
  10. (Low-Profile Mount) Make sure clamping mechanism has firmly grabbed both top and bottom of Atlas.
  11. (Fairing Mount) Open “garage door,” slide computer in (no case on).
  12. Attach safety tether to foot strap and Atlas leash.
